Sill Life is a line of one-of-a-kind terrariums made in Washington, D.C.
Each product is made using hearty succulents from a family-run nursery, foraged moss and soil formulated to keep plants growing strong.
Terrariums come with detailed care instructions that even the blackest of thumbs can follow. In addition to mini gardens, Sill Life also offers terrarium classes for groups small and large in the D.C. area. And don’t worry – we’ll take care of the clean up.
About Holley Simmons
For most, lending a hand around the house as a kid meant taking out the garbage or vacuuming the living room. As the daughter of an avid do-it-herself-er, my chore list read more like an episode guide to “This Old House.”
Having such a resourceful and creative mother taught me the value and gratification of making things on my own.
A few years ago, I discovered terrariums — charming mini gardens housed in glass containers — and became enchanted with the countless ways I could combine foliage to create completely different results.
After months of testing materials (and killing about 20 of them) I can confidently say I’ve gotten the hang of it.
